Partnered with Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard, and Etisalat, ITWORX Education helps to transform teaching and learning at a Sharjah school for deaf students
Recently joining the Mohammed Bin Rashid Smart Learning Program (MBRSLP), Al Amal School for Deaf Students has integrated smart technology in their Grade 8 and 9 classrooms. Under the MBRSLP, the school partnered with ITWORX Education, as well as other technology companies, to deliver an advanced 21st Century learning environment for its students.
“Technology has the power to completely transform learning and teaching, and even more so for children with special needs. It provides them with the opportunity to gain knowledge and develop skills in ways, and at a pace, they would not have enjoyed in a traditional classroom. We are very proud to be contributing to such a live-changing aspect of these children’s future”

In phase one, the program was launched across Grade 8 and 9 classrooms at the special needs school. ITWORX Education provided its state of the art and award-winning learning management system, the Connected Learning Gateway (CLG), which facilities communication and collaboration in K12 systems. CLG is a social learning environment that manages the workflow between students, teachers, and parents. Its mobile apps are designed to deliver anytime anywhere learning. The students at the school were also given tablet devices by the Program.
According to Fairouz Saqr, a biology teacher at Al Amal school: “Students understand the subject better and they are actually enjoying the process. It also makes the student more confident and dependent.”
From a learner’s perspective, a Grade 9 student expressed his feedback: “I really enjoy the freedom that comes along with this new mode of learning. I can now access the syllabus ahead of my classes and even at home. The classes are also far more interesting.”
The MBR Smart Learning Program aims to support the UAE’s vision of building a knowledge economy. Currently there are 146 schools within the Program, covering 24,000 students. The Program seeks to integrate technology in education. ITWORX Education is a technology partner in this nationwide initiative since its roll-out to schools in the UAE.
