Erik Goldenberg has been appointed as ITWORX Education’s CEO starting July 2018, where he will be leading all the facets of business worldwide. Erik’s tenure with ITWORX Education started before his appointment as CEO, where he was advising ITWORX Education with its America’s Regional expansion.
After his graduation with a Mechanical Engineering degree from Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, Erik begun his career at Apple, where his early career centered around the retail business in the tech industry. Erik then spent close to twenty years at Microsoft, where his latest role was in the Redmond headquarters leading the Worldwide Education Small and Midmarket Solutions & Partners business, a business initiated by Erik within Microsoft. In 2016 Erik founded and led StrateVast, a company based in USA, specialized in helping tech companies from around the world expand into new markets.
Through his passion for how technology can impact learning, and his experience of over 25 years across over 50 countries, Erik intends to lead ITWORX Education’s continuing growth through worldwide expansion in quest of achieving its vision of empowering every person to get the Education & Learning they need and deserve.
As ITWORX Education’s Business Development Director, Ahmed Saeed leads the global sales and presales team and advises customers on the suitable solutions to achieve their educational transformation ambitions easily and effectively. His extensive experience extends beyond developing and maintaining relationships with ITWORX Education customers.
Since joining in 2005, Ahmed has managed numerous successful projects, developed learning portals and educational solutions, and taught modules with the aid of Microsoft tools, including the Microsoft Learning Gateway and Microsoft SharePoint Learning Kit. He has also released roadmaps for several ITWORX Education solutions such as CLG, StudyLIVE student app, AuthorKit and AuthorKit Reader, Edu360 learning analytics solution, and TeacherKit iPad app. Ahmed holds a B.Sc. degree in Systems and Biomedical Engineering from Cairo University (1997), and is a certified Project Management Professional from PMI.
Essam Makhlouf is the Marketing Director at ITWORX Education, playing an integral role in promoting the company’s applications and programs. He joined ITWORX in 2005 as a Technical Consultant, and shortly after moved to the position of Service Delivery Manager. Essam managed key accounts across the globe, particularly nationwide education technology implementation programs; this included managing relations with ministries of education, partner corporations, private and public chains of schools, and single schools.
In 2016 Essam assumed the role of Marketing Director. His background and hands-on expertise have enabled his steadfast administration of the company’s marketing, partnership and product management activities. Essam is a certified Project Management Professional; he holds a B.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering from Ain Shams University (1999), and a M.Sc. degree in Computer Science from the American University in Cairo (2011).
Yasser Elezaby is the Delivery Director at ITWORX Education. His key role responsibility is to ensure complete governance across all areas of products/services delivery including quality management, incident and change management, continual service improvement and customer satisfaction. Within his capacity he is also responsible for developing and managing educational products, services, and e-learning solutions in EMEA and the USA using up-to-date technologies for Education institutions, from schools to universities. Yasser’s areas of expertise include identifying new business needs, as well as providing expenditure plans for all products/services. He was previously the Products Delivery Manager at ITWORX Education, whereby he was responsible for following up on the delivery of the company’s product portfolio. His areas of expertise include system architecture design, development, management, software, and training. During his work at ITWORX Education he managed the delivery of several products, including the Learning Management System (CLG), EduShare, EduPD/LearningCurve, and the first online-based course management solution owned and managed by ITWORX Education. He also contiubuted to moving the organization into the SaaS era. Prior to joining ITWORX Education in 2013 as a senior project leader, he worked in Oracle, which gave him exposure to a variety of environments and an adaptive, open mindset. Yasser is a Project Management Professional and holds B.Sc. of Engineering from the Suez Canal University in Port Said, Egypt, 1995.
Sally Metwally is the Business Development Director at ITWORX Education. Heading the company’s expansion efforts in Egypt and Africa, Sally is responsible for seeking and creating opportunities and building relationships with existing and new clients. She also leads the Education in Distress program. Prior to joining ITWORX Education she was the Director of Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Misr El Kheir Foundation (MEK), whereby she was responsible for nurturing the development and fostering the commercialization of technology-based innovations, both of which lead to providing affordable access of quality goods and services and creating livelihood opportunities for the Excluded population, primarily at the bottom of the pyramid (BOP). Before MEK, she was the CEO of the Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC); where she participated in developing the Technology Innovation & Entrepreneurship Strategy for Egypt 2011-2014. She also contributed to implementing programs that enabled startup companies to establish operation and innovation in Egypt. Prior to TIEC, she managed the research and innovation support department at the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), and was responsible for managing projects and on-going activities to develop the innovation capabilities of ICT companies. Before Joining TIEC, she established the Project Management Office (PMO) at HARF Corporation, which was responsible for providing leadership, organization and coordination to support PMO’s key activities. In addition, she held the position of program manager at EDS- HP. Sally holds a holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, a Master’s degree in Management of Technology, Six Sigma Green Belt, PMP (Project Management Professional), and post graduate certificates in Software Engineering and Software Sizing and Estimation. She also received a certification in Social Enterprise Management and Impact Investing by the Frontier Market Scouts Fellowship Program from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, California.
